She seemingly bounced through the desert, sending sand flying in all directions. She was not exactly a creature built for the desert as she still needed water but the warmth radiating from below and above her made her feel as if Aduro himself was caressing her. When she was at the top of the dune her legs collapsed and she rolled down giggling. When she was at the bottom she repeated the process, until she couldn’t anymore.
Out of breath, she lay at the foot of the dune. She was enjoying the sun and the heat, her thick elemental coat was soaking it up and so with a flick of her paw she concentrated on melting the sand in front of her. When the sand was runny she sapped the heat out of it and stared at the glass she had made.
She ran a claw along the substance, surprised at how cold it was. She hadn’t realised how much of the heat she had sapped from the liquid sand till now. As the claw ran along the glass it made an interesting sound, it was a screeching sound yet it was almost... musical. She giggled and ran two claws down the glass, listening.

Minding his own business, Sindri ambled along, hardly seeming to notice the heat of the air around him. And he didn't, really. He was quite used to it, and in fact far preferred this over the cold. The fire that enveloped his body danced and flickered as he walked, bright flames announcing his alert state.
A noise caught his ears and he paused, glancing around. He caught sight of a form bounding to the top of a dune and then rolling down it, sand flying every which way. Sindri stood there, amused, watching as time and again she leaped to the dune peak and then rolled down it. When she had failed to appear after one time, he padded nearer.
She lay in the shadow of the dune, doing... something. He couldn't tell what from where he stood. But she was focused on the sand, and then he could feel the area growing cooler. She was up to something, all right.
But his amusement faded rapidly when she began to drag her claws over the sheet of ice. The sound pained his ears and he shook his head, and then again as she repeated the act. "Miss!" he spoke up. "I know you're enjoying... that, but if I could ask you to stop please? The sound hurts my ears."

((Its glass not ice =9 if you melt sand it becomes ice)) Leandra jumped when the other spoke. She hadn’t expected anyone else to be prowling through the desert at this time of year. By far it was hot in winter, in summer it was just treacherous. When she turned to see the creature her jaw dropped. He was a rare species and this would make him the second rare wolf she had met in the last few weeks. A few weeks ago when in the cold Druid mountains she had met a rather rude Ventus Mist but it had being a memorable experience none-the-less.
”wow... hi” She said, entranced by the flames that licked at his body, she shook her head attempting to remember her manners. ”Sorry, i didnt know there was anybody around. Im Leandra... I thought there were no more Phoenixes left... your... a rare sight” she said still somewhat entranced. But this time she had manners. She wondered if he got his power from the heat of the desert and thats why the phoenixes were so rare.

Sindri smiled as she ceased making the ear-piercing noise. Thank goodness, his ears couldn't have taken much more. "Hello," he replied, not missing the way she stared. His ears flicked back in confusion and a bit of annoyance. He really hated to be gaped at.
He drew breath to speak up, but she beat him to it. He shrugged. "I live here. The desert is my home." Leandra... his aggravation died away. That was a nice name. He smiled. "Greetings, Leandra. I am Sindri. And yes, I know." Smug now. It was nice to be only one of a few. He despised the thought of being common, just one of a crowd. Standing out was so much more interesting. It made you memorable. "Oh, there are some of still about, but we are rare." He squinted down at her. "So what were you doing earlier, rolling down the slope? Was there purpose behind that? Or was it simply for fun?"

She looked back up at the dune and back to him as if it were obvious that she had being doing it just for fun but she would state the obvious if the Phoenix wanted her to. After all he was an Aduro Phoenix, they were literally as legendary as Aduro himself... well not as legendary but still pretty amazing. She grinned to herself. ”For fun of course, what other reasons would one roll down a sand dune for?” She asked with a laugh. ”I heard the Phoenixes never die, that you guys simply turn to ash and then you are reborn as a little furless puppy?” She said curiously, taking a hesitant step towards him. She wanted to touch his fur but she was afraid, afraid that it would burn her and that was saying a lot for the Elemental. Fire was about the only thing she wasn’t afraid of. She supposed she should have being afraid of the Phoenix but he was just so... amazing, she felt she didn’t need to be afraid of such a majestic creatutre.

OOC: It says open, so, mind if I join?
It was a good day fro a walk, though it was hot, like it was every day. Recoda stopped for a brief time to get the sand out of her eyes and ears. Once her ear were cleared of the fine grains, she heard voices. Could it be? Yes! A male and a female. When they came into her field of vision, she broke into a trot. The male looked a lot like her. Another Pheonix? The female was saying something about Recoda's breed being reborn. She went right up to them. "To answer your question, miss, us Pheonixs live and die just as every other wolf. I'm Recoda by the way." She sat down in between the male and female, making sort of a triangular pattern.
