Personality: Calm and assertive. Forceful when necessary. Friendly and warm to most, but a force to be reckoned with when she is angry. She strongly dislikes those of other species, looking down on them as lesser creatures.
History: Born into the Aeris Pack, raised in their ways and learning well how to hunt and survive. To a certain age, she obeyed without question her elder's edicts and commands, but it all changed when she met a male of a similar age on the borders of her pack one day. He appealed to her, despite being of the Pluit Pack. They began to meet regularly, and despite all her past lessons, Ardi began to fall in love with him. When she came into her first heat, they mated.
The litter was doomed almost from the start. Ardi's elders, outraged, mentioned kicking her out of the pack as punishment for her treacherous act. In the end, they decided against such a drastic action, but she was put under watch and forbidden to go anywhere without an escort. A couple of months later, she gave birth to three pups... two of which were stillborn.
Only one girl survived. The elders clicked their tongues and announced that of course this would happen; what had she expected? The dead male pups were buried, and Ardi focused on raising her daughter. She worried though, for the older wolves still looked at her with angry eyes, and she was afraid of the upbringing her daughter would receive in Aeris. So... she made up a plan and as soon as possible, she carried it out.
On a moonless night, she snuck out, carrying her daughter. She wasn't sure how her... the girl's father would react, but surely this was better than the alternative. She carried her daughter to the border between the packs and there met with a stroke of luck: the male was there, perhaps patrolling or hunting, but he was alone. Ardi called to him, and the following interaction was short and quick. He agreed to take the pup and agreed to meet Ardi often to keep her updated on the girl's progress.
But though she traveled often to the border, he never met her, and she hasn't seen her daughter since. Confusion slowly turned to anger as she realized he'd tricked her, and she vowed never again to stray. The elders had been right, after all.
Ardi has only recently become alphess of the Aeris Pack, but she has sworn to lead them as they have been led for years... with as little interaction as possible with the other packs.
