Ever since then, when Teara had told him she loved him and he said the same in return, Kent had become more lone. For he had not truly meant his words in return, not yet either way. Those days he were alone he often spend his time thinking. About Teara, and the love he was supposed to feel for her. But he felt uncomfortable with it still, because he didn't knew the reasoning behind the vision he had that day. Was it something that would happen in the future? Then it meant to, that he had decided to get pups with her in that one future. But how he would do that he had no idea. Kent stood up and walked to his mate's direction. Perhaps he simply would have to give over to it, perhaps he first would have to learn to love her. But how? ''Teara, I would like to speak with you, if you don't mind,'' the male called out. His tail swayed slowly behind him. Perhaps he would have to say the truth, that he didn't love her yet as strongly as she did to him. Maybe she could help him.

Teara smiled at Kent as he approached, she was busy mixing a few herbs together to attempt a healing potion. Something she had tried before but it seemed the stars didn’t smile down on the art of witchcraft. The male invoked a passion within her, a raging fire that none could put out. So strong were her feelings for him, she had completely given herself over to her instinctual nature when he had said he had loved her that first time. The nature of a Terrunus Pine made them want to love their mates and so she did it. Love to her was an action and no a feeling.

”Whats up Kent?” She said suddenly worried after his words, he didnt seem to happy. In fact he seemed very serious. It made her heart clench, was there a threat to him? She would kill any wolf who dared to hurt him. She pushed aside the bowl of herbs so she could give him her full attention.

Sitting down in front of her, he gazed briefly at the herbs. He frowned, for again it reminded him of something he didn't know. But it brought back such a nostalgic memory. The scent of herbs alone reminded him of her strangely. ''I... First of all, I'm sorry for having been so distant lately. You see Teara when I told you that I loved you too, that.... that was a bit of a lie. I do not love you yet as you do to me and I feel sorry for it. Of course as Pines we cannot remain friends forever yet this all is so new and unknown to me,'' he said. ''And I also want to figure out why I keep having these... scenes of us appearing in my head. They had not happened recently but... it's just tugging at my mind. I just want to know the truth, are you sure you do not remember me from any distant memory?'' he questioned.

She was shocked, he had being lying to her? It hurt a bit but she wouldn’t say anything. Instead she kept her face a neutral expression, grinning slightly to throw him off track. To make him feel more relaxed. Because that’s what you did when you were in love, you looked after them. She even managed to wag her tail gently, ”Thanks for telling me Kent, you didn’t need to pretend though. I understand. And im sure, i only have memories of my upbringing... so... you gonna leave?” her question at the end was a bit drawn out and let out a bit of her emotion. But if he needed to she would support him.
”I don’t mind either way but... ima start a pack here. One for Terrunus wolves.” She added.

He had not expected that at all. But as she spoke of him leaving a shock went through his body. ''Leaving?'' he growled, ''What in the world are you thinking, Teara. Of course I am not going to leave you because of this. I want to have the same feelings for you but I don't know how. All I can see you as at this point is a friend, a great friend but I just cannot simply see you yet as my mate.'' He whimpered at how stupid his own words sound. He thought for a while of what else she had said. He was disappointed as she told him she only had memories of her life this far and no more about him. Perhaps he would never find out the truth. Maybe it would be better to ignore those scenes. ''I promise you to help with starting the pack but... I just don't know how to love, what to do for it. I've never felt it before either.''

She nodded her head, thankful that he was not going to leave her. It made her fell a little less empty, ”Thank you” she said in reply to him saying he was going to stay before letting him continue talking. She nodded, not quite understanding but she would support him.
”Take your time, just don’t lie to me” she grinned at him and nipped his ear playfully as if she were a parent teaching her children a lesson, ”Its not good for your health.” She giggled and looked in his eyes before looking away, not wanting to start a fight.

He gazed down for a moment. ''But I've already took a lot of time. Surely, you've got to admit it has to be frustrating for you, too.'' He said. ''And I won't lie, I just only did once because I wanted to make you happy. But naturally I am not a lier.'' He was honest about his words. He shivered as she nipped all of sudden at his ear and it twitched in response. But he knew he would have to get used to such touches. Kent sighed again and lain down now. He wondered how he could let his feelings develop for her faster. He got sick and tired of making her wait for so long, and it annoyed himself too he couldn't accept it so easily.

She thought over his words, pausing for a moment. For a few minutes she didn’t know how to reply but then it came to her, he didn’t know love yet she knew it. He didn’t know how she could be so tolerant in even the worst of circumstances.

”I really don’t mind Kent, what makes me happy is that you are near. That i know you are okay and not off dying in some ditch somewhere. Love for me... its an action not an emotion. I mean i do get butterflies in my tummy every time we talk and i absolutely love to be in your presence. But these are only perks. These come from the actions, these come from caring for someone so much that they become your life... in a sense of course. i don’t say this to make you feel guilty or anything, simply so that you can know what it is i feel and why i act the way i do.

By saying love is an action i mean that because i love you i am able to give you time to understand your feelings. Because I love you i would hunt for you and let you eat first because you like the blood. If you didn’t eat first the blood would spill and be gone. Because I love you i leave you to rest when you need to rest. You see these actions are my love, they are what made me love you.” She stopped, at a loss for words and not knowing whether he understood or not. She cocked her head to the side as if to ask him if he understood it or not.

”I nip at your ears and play tag and other games because I like games, because I am a playful creature. Not because of my love, but because of my love i want to play these games with you and not the squirrels or other creatures.”

Taking them all in and thinking about them a couple of times. ''I care for you too, Teara. I would give away my life for you just as how I did when you almost drowned in the river. But is that alone really what makes us love one another? I thought it required more... Because don't close friends do these things too?'' He nodded his head faintly as she had tilted her head. ''You see, what makes me draw back the most to get into this world of love is because.... because when we are mates we would have to get pups, no? It is the law of the wolf to keep the species going, the law of the Stars above. But I... I don't want my species to continue. I don't want my children to suffer from the mutations and oddities I have,'' he said. He realized then he might be going a bit too far already with the conversation, but he couldn't change his words anymore.

She thought for a moment. She really did want pups, she wanted to be a mother but if he didnt want to be a father... she couldn’t force him... she sighed and then spoke. ”Well then we have two choices, one we can pray to Vita and see what she says. If she does not reply we will simply not have pups. There are plenty others to keep the species going” she grinned at him and hoped he accepted her answer.

He stood up and walked to Teara to sit down next to her. He leaned his body against her and brushed his snout against her. ''First I just want to learn to love you,'' he almost whispered. He found it odd how he had took the decision to sit next to her and to touch her, for it usually wasn't his thing. But now he just wanted to prove to her he wouldn't leave her side. Never.

She smiled and nuzzled him, his closeness to her was comforting. It was similar to the way they had being lying before. It was such an intimate thing to be this close but strangely enough she had been craving this. She had been craving to just lie next to him peacefully.

”I don’t know how to teach it, so... what do you want to know?” She asked softly, in the same whispering tone.

A grin covered his snout for a moment and he turned his head to her. ''I don't know. I guess the only way to find out is to experience it.'' But deep inside he somehow knew that he knew what it was like. Perhaps something behind the visions he held, or perhaps it was pure instinct any wolf had. He figured then when Teara and he would pray to the Stars he would try to ask about those visions too. If Teara didn't knew about it then it was the only way left to know the truth. Kent didn't do anything though as he sat next to her. Or rather he was shivering slightly, not knowing what to do in fear anything he would do would be considered as wrong.

”I understand, do not force yourself though” she said and she licked his muzzle and then she lifted her head, listening to the world around them. She was still soothed by the sounds and she felt at home even though they hadn’t marked or claimed the territory properly yet. They could do it tonight she decided.

”Let us rest, then we must mark and claim the territory or we will have usurpers” She grinned at him, her tail wagging. She was looking forward to starting the pack with him even though he didnt love her...yet.
